The vision described above has been found unfeasible for us at this time. In 2006 there was an initiative in Minneapolis called the "Big 45" proposal. Its aim was to add 45 new cab companies to the Twin Cities, with the goal of bringing more diversity and competition to the area. Sundays Energy and others tried to be a part, but the conditions mandated starting a new company and purchasing a minimum of 15 cabs. These stipulations effectively limited the number of potential small-scale providers, including Sundays Energy.
In light of this, Sun Taxi will have to wait. However, one company has decided to run with the idea and start a biodiesel limo service. Best Car Service is currently serving the Twin Cities with a Mercedes 300D and a 2005 VW Passat TDI, both powered with biodiesel! They operate daily from 5 p.m. to 5 a.m. and promise very reasonable rates. Give them a call for a bid and find out how affordable a biodiesel limo ride can be!
